A fresh round of video game releases, some of which have not even been announced yet, comes with a new year. There is already a solid lineup of titles confirmed for the next year, even though additional games will undoubtedly be shown in the upcoming months at occasions like the speculated Xbox-Bethesda Conference, Summer Game Fest, and E3 2023. Even if any of them end up in 2024 or are postponed from their intended locations, 2023 has the makings of being a wonderful year.

Many fans have yearned for a full-fledged RPG set at Hogwarts for a while, and this game claims to be just that. Players assume the role of a unique fifth-year Hogwarts student who enters the game, which set in the 1890s. The game also allows players to choose their Hogwarts House, have companions who represent each of them, and more. The customizable playable character has links to an old mystery, a strange lost magic, and more. Indeed, anticipation for what may be the last Harry Potter adventure is intense.
On February 10, 2023, Hogwarts Legacy will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with versions for the PS4 and Xbox One following on April 4 and the Switch version debuting on July 25.
Like a Dragon: Ishin (February 21)
The first Like a Dragon: Ishin game was launched in February 2014, although it was only ever available in Japan. But the Like a Dragon series has since expanded and thrived internationally, and in February 2023, this version will released everywhere. This game, in contrast to most others in the series, set in the Late Edo Period (1853-1867). In it, players assume the character of Sakamoto Ryoma as they navigate the streets of Kyoto and enlist in the Shinsengumi as they search for their mentor’s killer amid a Tosa takeover.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (March 17)
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is set five years after the original game, Cal Kestis’ quest is continued. There hasn’t been much revealed about the tale so far outside of a probable dispersal of the Mantis Crew, but the gameplay speaks for itself. There are a ton of new features, including the blaster + lightsaber combination from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the crossguard lightsaber, as well as a ton of new Force abilities and ways to use them. It’s really thrilling, particularly because it won’t be out for another several months.

Continuation of the open-world epic It has taken a while for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to arrive. If there are any more delays, it seems like 2023 will be the year of the Nintendo Switch, since fans have kept an eye out for it at every potential Nintendo event. Diablo 4 (June 6)
